I work with a wide range of emotional and behavioral issues providing services that span from therapy for depression and anxiety to EMDR, supportive therapy and beyond. In a comfortable and supportive atmosphere, I offer a highly personalized approach tailored to each of my clients individual needs to help attain the personal growth for which they strive.
In addition to traditional therapy, I also provide adjunctive EMDR therapy to clients who have an established relationship with a therapist but would like to include EMDR as part of their therapeutic journey.
I provide psychological assessments in order to assist an individual in understanding his or her strengths, weaknesses and characteristic ways in which that individual interacts with the world. This can provide helpful information for the individual or their therapist and provide guidance in treatment planning. After the assessment, a written report will be provided to the client and their treatment provider, if desired.
Often used in conjunction with psychological assessment, a consultation can provide additional information regarding a specific issue or problem area. The assessment will be conducted based on the specific referral issue (pornography addiction, alcoholism, depression, etc.) including a thorough psychosocial interview. After the assessment is completed, the client and his or her therapist are provided with oral and written feedback, including treatment recommendations.
Group or Corporate Presentations
We are now understanding how education concerning mental health issues can increase peoples’ self care and overall well being. I will work with you on creating a presentation that can fit the needs of your group. Past presentations have included “Healthy Anger”, “Coping with Grief”, “Distress Tolerance”, “Understanding and Minimizing Self Defeating Behaviors”, “Managing Your Emotions: Dealing with Stress Successfully”, “Step One; The First Step in Healing from Addiction”, and many more.
I provide clinical supervision to practitioners towards licensure or professional development. I work primarily from a psychodynamic perspective but incorporate solution focused, cognitive behavioral, interpersonal, Gestalt, and DBT theoretical orientation as needed.
